About
Kevin J. Ehlert brings more than 35 years of executive leadership, coaching, and consulting experience to private clubs and hospitality organizations seeking stronger governance, clearer strategy, healthier culture, and more consistent execution.
He is known for a leadership style that is steady, relational, and grounded in service. Throughout his career, Kevin has helped clubs navigate transition, strengthen operations, elevate the member experience, and build healthier alignment between boards, leadership teams, and staff. His work brings together executive leadership, hospitality, coaching, and practical strategy in a way that helps organizations move forward without losing what makes them special.
Kevin’s Story
Raised on a farm in Bricelyn, Minnesota, Kevin developed early the values that still shape the way he leads today: hard work, humility, resilience, responsibility, and care for people. Those roots continue to influence both his leadership style and his view of service.
Kevin is an Eagle Scout, a lifelong mentor, and someone who began coaching and encouraging others in high school. Over the years, that calling has taken many forms through music, martial arts, church, executive leadership, and professional coaching. Whether in a boardroom, a clubhouse, or a one-on-one conversation, he has long been drawn to helping people grow stronger, lead better, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
He and his wife Cheryl have been married since 1989, and together they are grateful for their three daughters, granddaughter, and rescue Yorkipoo, Ziggy. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys family time, cooking, wine, travel, motorcycles, music, martial arts, and the outdoors.
Professional Background
Kevin’s professional career has centered on private clubs, hospitality, leadership, and organizational development. Over more than three decades, he has served in executive roles at premier clubs and worked alongside boards, committees, leadership teams, and staff to strengthen governance, improve operations, guide capital and strategic initiatives, and create more meaningful member experiences.
His experience includes leading century-old clubs, multi-amenity operations, and teams navigating significant transition and change. He understands the complexity of club life: the importance of tradition, the realities of governance, the challenge of execution, and the responsibility of creating experiences that members genuinely value.
That depth of experience allows Kevin to bring both practical insight and calm perspective to the organizations he serves today.
What Kevin Believes
Private clubs are not simply businesses. At their best, they are communities with history, identity, and relationships that matter deeply. Leading them well requires more than technical skill. It requires steadiness, discernment, trust, and a commitment to serving both people and purpose.
Kevin believes healthy clubs are built when governance is sound, leadership is aligned, culture is strong, and execution follows intention. He also believes that real progress begins with listening well, understanding what makes an organization distinct, and helping people move forward together.
This is the heart of his work through Club Dynamics Group: practical guidance, thoughtful partnership, and meaningful follow-through.

What Shapes the Work
Kevin’s approach is shaped by both lived experience and intentional development. In addition to decades of executive leadership in private clubs, his work is informed by coaching and professional development in areas such as Unreasonable Hospitality, Business Made Simple Flight Plan, Full Focus, CoachBuilder, and Blue Ocean Strategy.
These frameworks do not replace practical wisdom. They sharpen it. Kevin uses them to help organizations think more clearly, lead more intentionally, and execute more effectively.
A Personal Note
I have spent much of my life helping people and organizations grow stronger, healthier, and more aligned. Whether I am working with a club board, a general manager, or a leadership team, my goal is the same: to bring clarity, encouragement, practical direction, and meaningful follow-through.
I care deeply about this work because private clubs matter. At their best, they create belonging, connection, tradition, and shared experience. Helping leaders strengthen those kinds of organizations is work I consider both meaningful and deeply worthwhile
Let’s Start the Conversation
If your club is navigating transition, strengthening governance, developing leaders, refining strategy, or working to create a healthier culture and more meaningful member experience, I would be honored to connect.
